ENTER INTO A LOAM AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA

1979, authorizes the California Energy Commission to loa:n state
funds to local governments for streErtlight conversion projects;
and
WHEREAS, the Council previously autho:r.ized the Chief
Administrative Officer in Resolutio:n 82-449 to apply fox~ loan
funds in the amount of $331,020 for a streetlight conve:csion
project: and
WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission has accepted
the City's application and offered the requested loa.n ..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Coutncil of the
City of Fresno that the Chief Administrative Officer is hereby
authorized to enteJC-into a loan ag1:-eement with the California
State EneJ:gy Commission for an amount not to exceed $331,020 at
9.75 percent interest for a. street.light conversion project.
