SECTIDN III ..
Rates of compensation provided for by a resolution establishing or.
approving such conpensatic:m ace f ilted on tbe basis of dollars per
month or full-time servl.ce in full-t.ime positions unless otherwise
clearly indicated.
SEC'rION IV. -ASTERISK ~B CLASSES
Employees in classes listed in any salary resoJ.ut.1.on or approvE;!d
Memorandum of Understanding which are marked with ais.tet'isks {'')
shall not be entitled to pa1nnent or equivalent con-pensatory time o:f:f
for over.time under the provis1ons of sect1on 2-1514 of tbe Fresno
Municipal Code,, regardless of the number of hours worked, except as
follows:

individual employee's base pay <mly shall be paid. A:t the . end
of the two-year period, an individual can continue to qualify
for: the 2% plus the degree pay percentage incentive by con-
tinuing to colT!Plf~te six units per yeat of approved subjects.
S'hould the individual not continue enrollment in an institution
of higl)er learning after the two-year qualifying period, he
shall receive his base salar-.t plus the educational incentive
pay for any de1;ree held.
E. Upon promotion to a higher rank within this unit, an individual
employee must enroll in an accredited institution .of higher
learning· at the beginning of the next semester and re-enter the
two-l7ear qualif.-ying CiJcle as described above to receive the
above specified incentive pay; the degree pay shall continue.
If the individual does not re-enroll in an accredited
institution or does not complete, a minimum of six units per
school year with the above-specified grade average, his pay
shall revert to the base salary with no pay awarded for any
degree the individual may hold.
SECTION XVI. -ASSIGJ.'ffi:NT PAY
The following rules prescribe paymemt of addit.1,onal pay for
assignment to and per:fotii~11ce of certain duties. The pay shall be
pro rata for time so assigned and worked.
A.. .c..ach zoo Attendant I and II assigned to duty as an Animal
Trainer shall be paid twenty dollars per month in addition to
his r•~ular salary.
B. Each Light Equipme.nt Operator assigned to operate the following
pieces of equipirent shall be paid an additional 10% of base pay.
Truck with boom ..
Bectvy-duty, hydraulically operated industrial
tractor with 5/8 cubic yard front-end loader.
TWo-thousand gallon water truck while being used
for tree watering along City streets ..
P~ B. or similar type self-loading truck ..
Truck towing tandem wh1eeled trailer loaded with
500-gallon tre-e sprayer.
