CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF REESE
AVENUE (.ALSO KNOWN AS GENOA AVENUE) BETWEEN SHAW' AND
CORONA AVENUES
'WHEREAS, the Council has elected to proceed under the pro-
visiorif1 of the Public Strc=ets, Highways and Service Ease:ments
Vacati01n Law (Division 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California), and specifically, Chapter 4,
commencing w:ith Section 8330 ther·eof, to vacate any portion of
a streeit which has not bl~en used for the purpose for which :i.t
was cled:icated or acquired for five consecutive yea.rs immedi-
ately p:t:'eceding this proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the street proposed to be vacated is descri.bed as
follows:
That portion of an avenue 50 feet in width (known as
North Genoa Avenue) lying northeasterly of the south-
westerly line of Lot 1050 of Bullard Lands Irri.gated ! ~ if ;I Subdivision No. 6, as shown on the Map of Bullard fl.i~.,t Lands Irrigated Subdivision No .. 6, filed 1.n tbe Office,

For further particulars as to the proposed vac,ition:► refer, ...
ence is hereby made to the attached Exhibit 11 A0 ; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fresno finds that the
street or portions thereof, which is proposed to be vacated,
will not eliminate~ access to property which adjoirns the street,
and that the p:r-oposed vacation will not terminate any public
service easement which has ever been in use; and
WUEREAS i the street proposed to be vacated has bE~en impass-
able to ·vehicular traffic for .:mox·e than five consecu1:iV49! years,
and no pub1j_c money has been expeinded to maintain thls ist1ceet
during the f:ive··yea·r period; and

WHEREA.S1-findings of Env:iLronmental Assessment No. 4766 in-
dicate that the proposed vacation action will have no posslbil-
ity of significant adverse effects on the environxne11t; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fresno desires to
vacate such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED hy the Council of the City
of Fresno as follows:
1. That the hereinafter described portions of public
street in the City and County of Fresno be and t:he same are
hereby closed, vacated and abau:doned for public street purposes.
2. The Cour1c:i.l finds and determines that the rights of
way or parts thereof vacated are not useful as bicycle paths or
routes.
3. That the City Clerk o:E the City of Fresno sha.11 cer-
tify to the passage of this resolution and shall file a. cert:l-
fied copy 1 attested by the Clet;k under the seal of the City of
Fresno, in the Office of the County Recorder of t:he County of
Fresno, State of California ..
4,. l"rhat this vacation shall become effective upon the
recordation of this resolution.
