A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF FRESNO, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE SAL1~ OF ONE SURPLUS SED.Mif
TO THE LANARE COMMUNITY SERVICES ORGANIZATJ:ON

WHEREAS, The Council has received and considered the report
and recoinmendation of the Chief Ad:ntinistrative Officer,, and upon
such report and recommendation, f1nds as follows:
1.. The Lanare community Sel;ViC!es Organiza,tion has offered the
City of Fresno the sum of one dollar {$1.00) for one 1974 Ford
Courier, Vehicle No. 1905.
2.. The City of Fresno h;as no further use for said sedan and
decla:r·es that it is surplus, b.adly worn and has minimal salvage
value.
3. The Lanare Community Services Organization hEts stated that.
it wi 11 maintain and insure the van for the ex.clusi ve ttse of the
Lanare Co1nm1.1nity Services Organization, a non-profit o:fganization.
4. It: is in the best interest of the City of Fresno and thiE~
Lanare Community Services organization to Q.ccept the o:f:fer of the
Lanare Community Services Orga11ization.
NOW I THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED ?BY THE Council of the City o:i;.
Fresno that one sedan identified a.s vehicle no. 1905 is1 d~clarecl
surplus and the Purchasing Agent is authorized and dire!cted to
execute an agreement approved by the City Attorney for the sale of
said vehicle to the Lanare Community Services Organization for the·
total price of one dollar { $1. 00) provided the vehicle be rettn:ned _
to the City of Fresno £or salvage when no longer needed; and i;.hat
the City of Fresno be relieved from any legal responsibility ~,hile
the vehicle is under the ownership and control of the Lanare
Community Services Organization.
