A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO,
CALIFORNIA, GALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMI~TE WHETHER
PUBLIC NECESSITY,1 HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE REQUIRE:S THE
FORMATION 0:1? AN Ul~DERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Chapter 11, Article 8, of th◄e :E'res110 Municipal
Code establishes a pr1ocedure for the creation o;r.: underground
utility districts and requires as the initial step in such pro-
cedure the holding of a public hearing to ascertain whether
public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires the re-
moval of poles, overhead wire,s and associated overhead struc ...
tures and the underground installation of wires and facilities
for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated
service in any such district; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Eiuch an underground
utility district, hereinafter called District, be formed on all
that certain area bounded by Tu le.re, t 1N11 , Inyo, and 11 0 11
Streets, as shown on the map entitled 0 Und ◄arground Ut:lli ty
District No. FRE-30 11 , which is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk of the City of Fresno, at the Fresno City Hall,
2326 Fresno Street, Fresno, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is resolved by the Council of the City
of Fresno as follows:
1.. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be
held by the Council of the City of Fresno on January 18, 1983,
at the hour of 2:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
2326 Fresno Street, Fresno, California, to ascertain whether
the public necessity, health, safety, or welfare Jcequires the
removal of poles, ov-erhead wires and associated ov-erhead struc-
tures and the underground installation of wires a11d facilities
for supplying elect1cic, communication, or similar associated
service in the Dist:rict here,inabove described.
2. At such hearing, all persons interested shall be given
an opportunity to he heard. Said hearing may be continu(~d from
ti.me to time as may be determined by the Council.

3. The City Clerk shall not:ify all affected property
owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll and util-
ities conce1:ned of the ti:me and place of such hearing by 102ail-
ing a copy 1()£ th:ts resolution to such property owners .and ut:il-.
ities concerned at least ten days prior to the date thereof.
4. Thie area proposed to bE! in<~luded in the1 District is
shown upon that certain map entitled 11 Underground Utility Dis-
trict FRE-30n, which is c,n file in the Office o:f: the City Cl,erk
of the City of Fresno, and is attached hereto ast. Exhibit nAu
and in1corporated herf~in by reference.
