WHEREAS, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERJJCA, a,cting through tbe
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSJ?ORTATION, FEDERAL AVIATION APM:INISTRATIONr has offered
a Grant Agreement to the CITY OF FRESNO for Airport I1nprova.rnent Program
Project No. 3-06-0087-01, Contract No. bTFA08-82~C-30O19, for the development
of the FRESNO AIR TERMINAL, consisting of the fo~lowing:
Construct perimeter raad (24' ;x 16,SOO'J, and storm
drainage system (3000').
Install lighted supplementary windspcks {2' .ea), and
Secw:.·ity/CFR Communications S.ystem 1(12 titol:dle units,
3 base units, 4 hand-held units).
Lower one fire hydrant ..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE C:t:TY OE'
FRESNO that Part I -Of fer of the Grant Ag;i:eement for Airport Imprmrement
Program No. 3-06-0087-0l is hereby approved and a1:mepted, and the Directo:r of
Airports is hereby authorized and directed to sig11 a11d execute Part ~CI -
Acceptance of the Grant Agreement, and the City Ai:.torney is authorized to sign
the Certificate of Sponsor's Attorney on behalf oj~ the City of F:t·e.sno ..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RE;SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRESNO, that the approval and acceptanc,e of said ,;3.g:reement is ba£ed on the
understanding reached through discussions with th~i FAA Western Regional Office,
that the term 11 cost free areasn in Part V -Assudi.nci~s Section 33 applies
solely to land.
