Reorganization and described in. Exhibits "A" and "B"
attached hereto, be annexed to the City of Fresno,,
and the same territory be detached from the Kings'
River Conservation District and the Mid Valley
Fire Protection Districtof Fresno County.
2.
This reorganization is in the best interest of
the territory of Laurel-Minnlewawa No. 1 District Reorgan-
ization, and lands have not been improperly omitted
from or included within this reorganization.
3.
The reasons for this reorganization are
a. The subject territory is within the City, of
Fresno's Sphere of Influence.
b. The owners of two parcels within the project
area have consented to annexation to the City
of Fresno.
C. It is advantageous for the territory within
the Laurel -min :ewawa. No. 1, District Reorgan-
ization to be a part of the City of Fresno.

IS FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Fresno
that the Laurel-Minnewawa No, l District Reorganization
be and
is hereby allocated to Council District No. 5.

REORGANIZATION FORMATION COMMISSION

WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings were 'initiated by the City
5
of Fresno to annex territory generally ,located near Minnewawa, and
6
Huntington Avenues. to the City of Fresno and detach from the
7
Mid -Valley Fire Protection District and Xin5sRlver Conservation
8
District in the County of Fresno; and
9
WHEREAS, an application for said proposal was accepted ;for
10
filing by the Executive Officer of this Local. Agency Formation
11
Commission;,and

WHEREAS, said application was'set for hearing by the Executive
13
Officer on the 26th day of May, 1932, at the hour of 2:30 p*m. of
14
said day; and
15
WHEREAS, notice of the hearing of said application was, duly
16
given by mail, , posting, and newspaper publication as ` required by

law; , and

WHEREAS, the Executive Officer- reviewed said application and
19
prepared a report, including his recommendations thereon, said.

application and report having been presented to and. considered 1�41

this Commission; and

WHEREAS, this Commission considered all relevant factors and
23
heard all interested parties wishing to spear on said application;

and

WHEREAS, the Commission has reviewed :and ;considered the

information in the Negative Declaration as; provided in. the Executive

officer's Report duly prepared. and -filed by the City of .Fresno.

NOW, THEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Local. Agency Formation

Commission of the County of Fresno does HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE,

AND ORDER as follows

Section 1. said proposal, is approved with revised boundaries
32
to exclude .that parcel south of Laurel Avenue (APN 463--030-26)

and':a revised. map ; and legal description shall be submitted to the

Executive officer, subject to approval by the County Assessor. Any

resolution of the conducting agency ordering this reorganization
4
shall provide that such reorganization shall not be subject to any,
5
terms and conditions.

Section 2. Said territory is found to be uninhabited and
7
is assigned the following distinctive short farm designation.

Section 3. The City of Fresno.is designated as the conducting
10
agency,' and the governing body of said agency is hereby directed

to initiate reorganization proceedings 'in compliance with this
12
resolution

Section 4 Further" proceedings shall be initiated by the
14
conducting agency not later Ethan 3.5 days after the date ',of adoption
15
of the Commission resolution and shall be conducted and 'completed
16
pursuant to required law. proceedings and any resolution of
17
approval shall comply with the Comnd,ssioni;s resolution of apprbva.3.

Section 5.. The Executive Officer is hereby authorized and.
19
directed to mail certified copies of this `resolution as provided
20
in Section 5.6272 of the Government Code.
