Reorganization and described in Exhibits "'All and "W
attached hereto, be annexed to the City of Fresno;,
and the same territory be detached from the Rings
River Conservation .District.and the North Central
Fire Protection District of Fresno County.
2.
This reorganization is in the best interest of
the territory of Ashian-Cornelia No, 4 District Reorgan-
ization, and lands have not been improperIv omitted
from or included within this reorganization.
3.
The reasons for this reorganization are:
a. The subject territory is within the City of
Fresno's Sphere of influence.
b. The annexation was initiated as a result'of'
requests for annexation from several of the
property owners within the project area..
c . It is advantageous for the territory within
the Ashlan.-Cornelia No..4 District Reorgan-
ization to be a part of the City of Fresno.

LAFCO's condition of approval stipulates that..
Prior to: completion.' of the subject proposal, the
City of Fresno shall provide assurances that either
an :instant aid fire' agreement; Faith. the North Central
Fire Protection Distract has been completed or a
temporary or permanent City fire station will be
located within 2.5 miles of the affected area be-
fore any additional homes are constructed.
Said instant aid agreement with the North Central Fire
Protection District and provision for a temporary or per-
manent City fire station are presently being negotiated,
to satisfy LAFCO's condition.

IS FURTHER RESOLVED' by; the Council of the City of
Fresno
that the Ashlan-Cornelia No.. 4 District Reorganization
be and
is hereby allocated to Council District No. 2.

Section 4. Further proceedings,shall be initiated by the

conducting'agency not later than 35 mays after the date of adoption
23
of the Commission resolution and sha"I be conducted and completed

pursuant to required law. Proceedings and any resolution of
25
approval shall comply with the Commission's -resolution of approval.
