HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - City Council - 82-306 - 1982-06-29K WHEREAS pursuant to Fresno Municipal Code Section 2- 208, the subject territory is allocated to Coun.cl'l District No. 2 NOW, THEREFOREt BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:` 1. The Council hereby orders that the territory referred to as Ashlan--Blythe No. 2 'District Reorganization and described in Exhibits "A" and "B" r attached hereto, be annexed to the City of Fresno, and the same territory be detached from the Kings River Conservation District and: the North .Central Fire Protection District of Fresno County. 2. This reorganization is in the best ,interest of the territory of Ashlan�-Blythe No. 2 District'Reorgan-- ization., and lands have not been improperly omitted from or included within this reorganization. 8. The reasons for this reorganization are: a. The subject territory is within the City of Fresnors Sphere of influence. b. A property owner within the project area has expressed a desire to annex to the City. c, It is advantageous for the territory 'within the Ashlan-Blythe No, 2 District Reorgan- ization to be a part of the City of Fresno. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno that the Ashl,an-Blythe No. 2 DistrictReorganization be and is hereby allocated to Council District No. 2,- Page 3 of 4 �. WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings were initiated by the City 5 of Fresno to annex territory generally located near Ashlan and 6 Blythe Avenues to.the City of Fresnoand detach from the North 7 Central Fire Protection District' and Kings River Conservation g District in the County of Fresno, and 9 WHEREAS, an application for said Proposal° Vras accepted for 10 filing by the Executive officer of this Local.
