RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION O. 32243
AND INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE REORGAN
IZATION OF THE CITY OF FRE SNO, THE RINGS
RIVER. CONSERVATION DISTRICT AND THE MXD
VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, INVOLVING
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND
DESIGNATED AS THE PROPOSED CLAY- M"LE NO. -- A
DISTRICT REORGANIZATION, SETTING THE TIME,
DATE .AND PLA.CE FOR HEARING PROTESTS zH RETO,
,AND GIVING NOTICETHEREOF
WHEREAS, , proceed: nng s for a - proposed reorganization were
commenced by the City of Fresno pursuant to its Resolution Noi
82- 71, adapted on February- 16, 1982 and.
WHEREAS, ` the Fresno Local Agency Format -ion. Commission can
the 28th day of April, 1982, met at the noticed -.time and place
to consider all matters relevant to the proposed reorganization"
and heard all persons interested therein, and adopted at the
time and in the form and manner prescribed by law its Resolu-
tion No. RO-82--14, ".Making Determination and Approving the
Proposed Clay -Maple No. 3,-A District Reorganization"', a copy
of which is attached hereto and identified as Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the Fresno County Assessor's roll will be used for a
the purpose of :Levying any assessments or taxes on the subject
a
property; and
WHEREASr the subject territory proposed to be annexed to the
City of Fresno shall be exempt from taxation for the payment of
principal or interest, or any other amounts which; shall become due
on account `of`any outstanding bonded indebtedness incurred by the
City prior to the effective date of such annexation; upon completion
of the reorganization, proceedings for this proposal the subject
territory will be included in Municipal Bond Area I'D" and will not
be taxed for any existinc, bonded indebtedness or contractual

obligation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED? DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the
Council of the City of Fresno, as follows:

WHEREAS, preliminary proceedi ngs were initiated by the City

of Fresno to annex territory generally .located near Clay and Maple

Avenues to Vhe City of Fresn&• and detach from the Mid -valley Fire
Protection District and Kings River Conservation District ,in the
County of Fresno and
WHEREAS, an application for said proposal was accepted for

filing by the Executive Officer of this Loca Agency Formation

' Commission; and

WHEREAS, said application "wad sot for hearing by the Executive

Officer on the 28th day y of April., 1982, at the ' hour of 1: 3a .

WHEREAS, notice of the hearing of said application wets duly,

this Commission; and

WHEREAS, the Commission has reviewed and considered tfie

information in the Negative DeoZaratipan as provided in `the

Executive officer's Report duly prepared and filed by the Cit ,
