RESOLUTION NO. 82-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL EXPLANATORY
MATERIAL AND DATA FOR USE IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL
PLAN
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 65302 of the California
Government Code, and Title 25, Chapter 6, Subchapter 4,
Articles 1 through 6 of the California Administrative Code,
a housing element for the Fresno -Clovis Metropolitan General
Plan was prepared by the City of Fresno and adopted by the
Council by Resolution No. 81-119, on March 24, 1981; and
WHEREAS, a significant amount of informational material
and data was used in or was developed concurrently with the
preparation of the housing element, but was not adopted as
part of the plan; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Housing and Community
Development has requested that such material be appended to
the housing element of the General Plan for purposes of clari-
fying and supplementing said element.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Fresno approves the incorporation of the explanatory
material contained in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, for use
in conjunction with the housing element of the General Plan.
Such information is not a part of the plan, but may be used
to supplement, explain, and clarify the material contained
in the plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Planning and
Inspection is authorized to publish such material as an in-
formational appendix to the housing element of the General
Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Fresno will consider the approval of additional clarifying
information related to the Block Grant Housing Assistance
Plan goal data, when the Three Year Housing Assistance Plan
or Plans for the time period between July 1, 1982 and June 30,
1985 become available.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Fresno requests the State Department of Housing and Community
Development to immediately affirm that the housing element to
the Fresno -Clovis Metropolitan Area General Plan is now in
conformance with State housing element law and the 1977 guide-
lines.
