HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - City Council - 82-026 - 1982-01-12• • WHEREAS, review and analysis of Environmental Assess­ ment No. 3174, relating to the Master Service Delivery Plan has resulted in the filing of a Negative Declaration by the Director of Planning and Inspection; and WHEREAS, no new districts are proposed to be formed by this reorganization; and WHEREAS, the Fresno County Assessor's roll will be used for the purpose of levying any assessments or taxes on the subject territory; and WHEREAS, the subject territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Fresno will be exempted from taxation for payment of principal or interest, or any other amounts which shall become due on account of any outstanding bonded indebt­ edness incurred by the City prior to the effective date of such annexation, and upon completion of this reorganization proposal, the subject territory will be included in Municipal Bonded Area "D" and will not be taxed for any existing bonded indebtedness or contractual obligations; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposal are stated as follows: 1. Annexation of the subject territory to the City of Fresno will result in improved land use planning. All private development con­ trols of the City will apply, following re­ organization. 2.The subject territory is within the City of Fresno's Sphere of Influence. 3.A parcel within the project area is bound by a water agreement consenting to annexation to the City of Fresno. 4.It is advantageous for the subject territory to be a part of the City.
