HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - City Council - 82-017 - 1982-01-12• • WHEREAS, review and analysis of Environmental Assess­ ment No. 3174, relating to the Master Service Delivery Plan has resulted in the filing of a Negative Declaration by the Director of Planning and Inspection; and WHEREAS, no new districts are proposed to be formed by this reorganization; and WHEREAS, the Fresno County Assessor's roll will be used for the purpose of levying any assessments or taxes on the subject territory; and WHEREAS, the subject territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Fresno will be exempted from taxation for payment of principal or interest, or any other amounts which shall become due on account of any outstanding bonded indebt­ edness incurred by the City prior to the effective date of such annexation, and upon completion of this reorganization proposal, the subject territory will be included in Municipal Bonded Area "D" and will not be taxed for any existing bonded indebtedness or contractual obligations; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposal are stated as follows: l.Annexation of the subject territory to the City of Fresno will result in improved land use planning. All private development con­ trols of the City will apply, following re­ organization. 2.The subject territory is within the City of Fresno's Sphere of Influence. 3. Property owners within the project area have petitioned for annexation to the City of Fresno. 4.It is advantageous for the subject territory to be a part of the City. Consisting of Lots 13 and 14 of Moradian Tract and a portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 16, �3/20. BEGINNING at the intersection of a line which is parallel with and 130.00 feet North of the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 16, Township 13 South, Range 20 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, as said Section is shown on the United States Township Plats, with a line which is parallel with and 330.00 feet East of the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 16, being also, a point on the exist­ing City Limits of the City of Fresno; thence Northerly, along a line which is parallel with and 330.00 feet East of the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 16, being also, along the existing City Limits of said City, to the intersection with the Easterly production of the South line of Lot 12 of Moradian Tract, as said lot is shown on the map thereof, filed in the Office of the County Recorder January 22, 1948 and recorded in Volume 13 of Plats at Page 92, Fresno County Records; thenca Westerly, along the Easterly production of the South line of said Lot 12, and alo.ng the South line of said Lot 12, to the Southwest corner of said Lot 12; thence Northerly, along the West line of said Lot 12, being also, the East line of Lot 13 of said Moradian Tract, and along the East line of Lot 14 of said Moradian Tract, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 14; thence Westerly, along the North line of said Lot 14, and along the Westerly production of the North line of said Lot 14, to the intersection with the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast -Quarter of said Section 16; thence Southerly, along the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 16, to the intersection with a line which is parallel with and 130.00 feet North of the South line of the North­east Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said section 16; thence Easterly, along a line which is parallel with and 130.00 feet North of the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 16 to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
