A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO AUTHORIZING THE RENAMING OF NORTH DIANA STREE!l' BETWEEN EAST SANTA ANA AVENUE AND EAST GETTYSBURG AVENUE TO NORTH CLARK STREET
WHEREAS, the Fresno County and City Street Names Colllllittee considered
the request of the City of Fresno, Department of Public Works to rename
North Doon Way and North Diana Street between East Gettysburg Avenue
and East Fairmont Avenue NORTH CLARK STREET; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Fresno held a noticed
public hearing on this requested street name change on December 2, 1981,
as requir ed by the Fresno Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, owners of property along North Doon Way and North Diana
Street appeared to present testimony with regard to proposed street
name changes; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after receiving said testimony,
concluded that the name of North Doon Way should no be changed, and
that North Diana Street should be renamed NORTH CLARK STREET, and re
solved to recommend said conclusion to the Council of the City of Fresno
by Resolution No. 7647; and
WHEREAS, the Council did conduct a public hearing on this matter
as required by the Fresno Municipal Code and has determined therefrom
that the name of North Doon Way should not be changed and that North
Diana Street be renamed NORTH CLARK STREET.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno,
California, that that portion of North Diana Street between East Gettysburg
Avenue and East Santa Ana Avenue, as shown on the attached Exhibit "B,"
be renamed NORTH CLARK STREET.
