RESOLUTION NO. 82-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
FOR A CALIFORNIA CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Fresno Police Department desires to
undertake a certain project designated California Career
Criminal Apprehension Program to be funded in part from
$2,500,000 in funds made available through the Office of
Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief
Administrative Officer of the City of Fresno is authorized
to submit an application for $100,000 in grant funds for law
enforcement purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Fresno a Grant Award for the law
enforcement purposes of the designated project, including
any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide $11,111 in matching funds required for said project
under the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will
be appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement
expenditures controlled by this body.
