RESOLUTION NO. 79- 3
TENTATIVE TRACT NO. 3206 RELATING TO PROPERTY LOCATED
ON THE NOR`fHWEST AND THE NORTHEAST CORNERS OF EAST
HUNTINGTON BOULEVARD AND SOUTH CALLISCH STREET
WHEREAS, a Tentative Map of Tract No. 3206,: a proposed: condominium
conversion,, was filed on July 26, 1979, and after review by all.
affected agencies, was presented to the Fresno City Planning
Commission on September 4 1979, for review and approvals and,
WHEREAS, the Planning 'Commission considered the report and, recommenda-
tion of"the Planning and Inspection Department, Public Works Depart-�
anent, and.other affected agencies, received oral evidence, made ,its
own independent investigation:,with respect to the project, and during
its - deliberations noted i.ts concern with the adverse effects of
the project upon the availability of rentalhousing near the Central
Business District, and indicated that the use of public funds in the
development of the project site and, facilities, through the
Redevelopment Agency, and the designation of the site for multiple
family residential by the South Angus Street Renewal. Plan, was
evidence of the City' s interest in providing rental housing in this
area. and
WHEREAS. the Commission did resolve that Tentative Tract Map No.
3206 be denied; ; and.
WHEREAS, the applicant has ' filed: a written appeal from said decision
in accordance with Section 12--1019 of the Fresno Municipal Code; .and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fresno on the 9th day of
October, 1979, conducted an appeal hearing. As a result of :said
hearing, the Council of the City of Fresno, reversed the decision
of said Planning Commi ssion and approved Tentative Map of Tract No.
3206
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Fresno
hereby approves the Tentative Map of Tract .No. 3206 subject to the
following conditions
1. Prepa..ration of the Final Map of Tract No. 3206` in accordance with
the Tentative Tract Map entitled Exhibit "A," dated July 26 1979,
on file with the City of Fresno, Planning and Inspection Depart-
ment.
2. Compliance with all requirements of the Planning and Inspection.
Department memorandum dated. August :30, ` 1979.
3. Compliance with all requirements of the Public Works Department
memorandum dated August 27, 1979, File No. 7367.
