RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRESNO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, WITHDRAWING
CERTAIN AREAS FROM THE MID -VALLEY FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT (CALIFORMIA-MINNEWAWA, NO.. '3)
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno is a municipal corporation duly
organized and existing under the Constl.tution and laws of the
State of California, and the Council of the City of Fresno is the
legislative body of such city under its Charter, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-224 of the City of Fresno,r
which resolution became effective May 29, 1979 the territory
hereinafter described was annexed to the City of Fresno; and
WHEREAS, the resolution has been filed with the Secretary of
State, and an affidavit of completion was filed with the County
Recorder on August 23, 1979 , and
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory at the effective

date of such annexation was and now is located within the exterior

boundaries of the Mid -Malley Fire Protection. District; and.
WHEAS, Section 13952 of the Health and Safety Code of
California provides, in substance, that whenever any portion of
a fire protection district is included within a. city by reason of
annexation, such portion may 'be withdrawn from the fire protection
district, such withdrawal to be effective on the date fixed by the
legislative body of the city,which date shall not, be more than
two years after said annexation proceedings are completed; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AND DECLARE that effective on the date of adoption of this
resolution, there is withdrawn from the Mid --Valley Fire Protection
District that territory situated in the City of Fresno, County of
Fresno, State of California, particularly described as follows

BEGINNING at a point which is the intersection of the South Line of
Lot 124 of Easterby Rancho, as said lot is shown on the map of Easterby
I� Rancho, filed in the Office of .the County Recorder June 24, 1880 and
` recorded in Volume 2 of Plats at Page 6, Fresno County Records, and the
` Northerly production of the West Line of Parcel Map No. 3773, filed in
the office of the County recorder December 9, 1977 and recorded in
Book: 26 of Parcel Maps at Page 52 of said Fresno County; being also,
point on the Existing City Limits of the City of Fresno; thence
South 000 :36' 27" East along the Northerly production of the West Line
of said Parcel. Map No. 3773, and South 000 36' 271' East along the West
e of said Parcel Map No. 3773, a distance of 2689.24 feet to th

East along the South Line of said Parcel Map No. 3773, a distance of
1339.92 feet to the Southeast corner of said Parcel Map No.: 3773; thence
North 000 49' 4911 West, along the East Line of said Parcel Map No. 3773,
a.distance of 2658.12 feet to the Northeast corner of said Parcel
Map No_.3773,; thence South. 89e 42' 18" West along the North Line of said
Parcel. Map No. 3773 to the intersection with the Southerly production of
a line which is parallel with and 30.69 feet East of the East Line of the
^� West three -fourths (3/'4) of said Lot 124 of Easterby Rancho; thence
Noxtherly hiong the Southerly producj-,ion of a line which is parallel with
and 30.69 feet East of the East Line of the Zest three -fourths (3/4) of
said Lot 124 to the intersection with the South Line of said Lot 124;
being also, a point on the existing City limits of the city of Fresno;
thence Westerly along the South Line of said Lot 1.24;r being also, along
the existing Oily limits of said City to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
