A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF ' THE CITY OF F?R2,SNO
DESIGNATING THE WATER TOWER. TO THE LOCAL OFFICIAL
REGISTER OF HISTORIC RESOURCES.,
WHEREAS, at a noticed public hearing on September 18 1979, the
Council heard testimony on the subject property; and
WHEREAS, the Water Tower, located: at 2444 Fresno Street, was built
in 1894, and
WHEREAS, the structure has been evaluated and determined to have
architectural and historical significance; and
WHEREAS, the structure was designated to the National Register of
Historic Places in 1971.
NOW, THEREFORE,- BE IT RESOLVED that the: Council of the City of Fresno
designates the Water flower to the Local Official Register as set forth in
Article 4 of the Fresno 'Municipal Code relating to the Preservation of Historic
Structures.
