RESOLUTION NO. 7 -9- 40
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO
DESIGNATING THE MEUX HOME TO THE LOCAL OFFICIAL
REGISTER OF HISTORIC RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, at a noticed public hearing on September 18, 1979,
the Council. heard testimony on the subject property; and
WHEREAS, the Meux dome, located at 1007 "R" Street, was built in 1889
and
WHEREAS, the structure has been evaluated and: determined to have
architectural and historical significance; and
WHEREAS, the structure has been designated as a Local Historic Monument,
a Point of Historical Interest in. the State of California. and, to the
National. Register of Historic Places.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the council of the City of Fresno
designate the Vieux Home to the Local. Official. Register as set forth in
Article 4 of the Fresno MunicipalCode relating to the Preservation o
Historic Structures.
