RESOLUTION NO. 79-267
A RESOLUTION OFF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FR ESNO, APPROVING AND RECOGNIZING A GROUP
TO BE KNOWN AS "FRIENDS OF .CAMP FRESNO"
WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT CAMP FRESNO
THROUGH VOLUNTEER SERVICE
WHEREAS, Camp Fresno is a recreational resource of great
valu e, and
WHEREAS, there has been formed a group to be known as
"Friends of Camp Fresno", an unincorporated association organized to
provide volunteer service to Camp Fresno, and
WHEREAS, this group has already provided volunteer service to
the extent of approximately three thousand hours to assist in the maintenance,
rehabilitation and improvement of Camp Fresno and its operation, and
WHEREAS, this group has aided in the reduction of costs to the
City for Camp Fresno and has aided efforts to increase utilization of the
camp;
NOW., THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Fresno hereby recognizes the "Friends of Camp Fresno" as a
volunteer group supporting the Parks and Recreation Department in its
efforts to maintain and improve Camp Fresno; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED> that the Council authorizes the
Parks and Recreation Director to cooperate with the "Friends of Camp
Fresno" to further reduce operating and maintenance costs at Camp Fresno.
