HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - City Council - 79-263 - 1979-06-26CD RESOLUTION NC? . 7 9 - 2 3 qw A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY" OF FRESNO AMENDING THE AGREEMENT WITH THE HOUSING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITE' OF F'RESNO FOR THE REHAB- ILITATION OF 103 PUBLIC , HOUSING UNITE AT THE FUNSTON PLACE PUBLIC; HOUSING PROJECT EXTENDING THE TIME ' OF COMPLETION TO JULY 31, 1979 WHEREAS, on March 2, 1978, the City of Fresno executed an agreement with the Housing Authorities of the City of Fresno and WHEREAS, the agreement provides $1,168,793 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the rehabili- tation of 103 public housing units at the Funston Place Public Housing Project; and WHEREAS, the agreement stipulated the completion of all work by June 1, 1979; and WHEREAS, because of an unforeseen delay in start- ing the work, the Housing Authorities will not be able to complete all work by the time period allowed by the agree- ment and thus, have requested an extension of that time period; and WHEREAS, granting of extension of the time period allowed by the agreement for completion, of all work is reasonable and: will result in the satisfactory completion of rehabilitation: work on public housing units. NOW THEREF ORE f it "is resolved that the Council of the City of Fresno hereby approves the attached amendment to said: Agreement extending the time of completion for the rehabilitation of 103 public housing units to July 31, 1979.
