RESOLUTION NO. 79-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF
TITLE TO LOTS 17 TO 32, INCLUSIVE, IN BLOCK
61 AND THE SOUTHWESTERLY 10 FEET OF LOTS 27
TO 32, INCLUSIVE, IN BLOCK 72 AND THE NORTH-
WESTERLY 5.45 FEET OF THE SOUTHWESTERLY 10
FEET OF LOT 26 IN BLOCK 72 IN THE CITY € F
FRESNO TO THE REDEVELOPMENT .AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF FRESNO.
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Fresno
has received an Offer to enter into a disposition agreement
for the purchase of Disposition Parcels 33, 34, 35 and 10E
in the Central Business District, Project No. Calif. A-4-2
Area B-1, from Great Lakes Properties, Inc., which has designated
its wholly owned subsidiary, G.L.C. Building Corp., as its legal
nominee and
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno holds title to Lots 17 to 32,
inclusive, in Block 61 and the southwesterly lA feet of Lots 27
to 32, inclusive, in Block 72 and the Northwesterly 5.45 feet:
of the Southwesterly 10 feet of Lot 26 in Block 72 in the City
of Fresno, which lots and portions of lots are situated entirely
within the aforementioned Disposition Parcels and
WHEREAS, in March of 1978, the Redevelopment Agency approved
amendments to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Central Business
District which makes it unnecessary for the City to retain owner
whip of said lots and portions of lots
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRESNO as follows
1. That the City finds and determines that the subject
Lots and portions of lots are no longer needed to accommodate
the Urban Renewal Plan for the Central.. Business District as
revised in March of 1978,
2. That the City finds and determines that conveyance of
said lots and portions of lots to the Redevelopment Agency to
accommodate urban redevelopment is a legitimate public purpose.

3. That the City hereby agrees to convey title to ,Lots

17 to 32, inclusive, in Block 61 and the Southwesterly 10 feet
of Lots 27 to 32, inclusive, in Block 72 and the Northwesterly

5.45 feet of the Southwesterly 10 feet of Lot 26 in Block 72

4. The Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Fresno

is hereby authorized and directed to execute all documents nec-
essary to complete the conveyance of said property and: the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to impress and attest
the official seal of the City of Fresno on all such documents
necessary to complete conveyance of title to the Redevelopment
,Agency of the City of Fresno.
