RESOLUTION NO. 79-225
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING FINAL
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT NO. 10069
RELATING TO THE AMENDMENT OF THE BUTLER -
WILLOW SPECIFIC PLAN.
WHEREAS, Final Environmental Impact Report No. 10069
relating to the proposed Amendment of the Butler -Willow
Specific Plan has-been prepared in compliance with the California
Environmental Quality Act; and,
WHEREAS, Final Environmental. Impact Report No. 10069
has been presented: to the Council of the City of Fresno for
review and considerations and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fresno finds that
mitigation ;measures and alternatives to the proposed amendment

to the Butler -Willow Specific Plan identified in Environmental
Impact Report No 10069, if incorporated in the proposed
amendment., may reduce or avoid environmental effects of the
proposed amendment, but that there are specific social and
economic reasons which render all identified mitigation
measures and alternatives infeasible, namely:
The Council of the City of Fresno finds that
amendment of the Butler -Willow Specific Plan
Land use Element to provide for higher density

residential development will result in a more
economical use of Land, reduce air pollution

' and conserve energy;
NOW, THERtFORE, the Council of the City of Fresno certifies'
that Final Environmental Impact Report No. 10069 has been
completed in compliance with the California Environmental
Quality Act and the State ETR Guidelines and that the Council
has reviewed and considered the information contained therein
