RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTI.ON OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO FIXING
DATE OF HEARING ON THE BUDGET FOR 1979-80
WHEREAS, not later thann one month before the beginning of the fiscal
year 1979-80, there will have been submitted by the . Chief Administrative
Officer of the City of Fresno an annual budget for the fiscal year 1979--80
in the form and manner provided and required by Article 12, Section 1202 and
1203 of the charter of the City of Fresno; and
WHEREAS, copies of said budget have been printed and made available
for inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk at least ten days
prier to the date set for the public hearing on said budget; and
WHEREAS, the 1977 Amendments to the Revenue Sharing Act which: took effect
on October 1, 1977 require that citizens must be given an opportunity to comment
in public hearing on the relationship of Revenue Sharing funds to the entire
budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno that the
Chief Administrative Officer has fixed the 21st`day of June 1979 commencing at
2:15 p.m. of said day,, and in the Council Chambers of the City Council of the
City of Fresno, in the City Hall of said city as the place for a public hearing
on said budget_
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of t.h.i.s. Council, the City Clerk of
the City of Fresno, be and is hereby directed to give ten days notice by
publication in the Fresno Bee of the time and place fixed for said public hearing,
such notice to also include a summary of the proposed 1979-80 City Budget and
proposed use of General Revenue Sharing funds as required by the 1976 amendments
to the Revenue Sharing Acts

foregoing resolution was adopted by the Council of the City of Fresno, State of
California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 29th day of May 1979, and
that the same was passed by the following votes.
