RESOLUTION NO. 79-18
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO
RELATING TO AN APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL FUNDS
TO SUPPORT A: POLICE/PROBATION TEAM DURING THE
1979_80 FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS the Fresno Police Department desires to undertake
a certain project designated Police/Probation Team to be
funded in part from funds made available through the Juvenile
Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (PL 93-415), and
administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative
Officer of the City of Fresno is authorized to submit an
Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP
and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Fresno a
Grant Award for the law enforcement purposes of the designated
project, including any extensions or amendments thereof
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (including
any extension or amendment thereof) under the Juvenile Justice
and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (PL 93--415) and the
rules and: regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement-
Assistance Administration and that cash will be appropriated
as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to 'supplant law enforcement expenditures
controlled by this body.
