RESOLUTION NO. 79- 7
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO r C:ALIFORNIA r APPROVING CALL FOR
CONSTRUCTION BIDS IN THE MATTER OF CITY
OF FRESNO ASSESSMENTDISTRICT NO. 79
WHEREAS, the Council did, on the 20th day of March,
1979, pursuant to Article 20 of Chapter 15 of the Fresno Municipal
Code, adopt its Resolution of Intention to construct the public
improvements generally described in such resolution, with an
assessment district known as City of Fresno Assessment District
.No. 79 and
WHEREAS, the Council has preliminarily approved the
Engineer's Report regarding such assessment district.
NOW, THEREFORE the Council of the City of Fresno does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. The City Clerk shall publish, once a week for two
successive weeks in the Fresno Bee, a newspaper published and
circulated in the City, a notice inviting sealed bids for the
construction of street improvements in strict accordance with the
plans and specifications- contained in the Engineer's Report on
file with the City Clerk and preliminarily approved by the Council
by resolution. The first publication shall be at least fourteen
(34) days prior to the time fixed for opening bids.
2. Such sealed bids shall be deb. fiver_ p-a to the of € z rya of
the Purchasing Agent of the City of Fresno on or before 200
o'clock P.M. on June 1, 1979, at 2348 Mariposa Street, Fresno,
California, said time being not less than fourteen (14) days from
the time of the first publication of said notice.
3. Bids will be publicly opened, examined, and declared
on such day and hour, or promptly thereafter, by the Purchasing
Agent who shall report such bids to the Council for its
consideration at a regular meeting thereof in the Council Chamber,
City Hall, Fresno, California.
