RESOLUTION NO 79 4

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CONTROLLER
TO INVEST SURPLUS MONIES IN SPECIFIED SECURITIES.
WHEREAS, the Council may purchase, exchange or, sell certain
specified securities pursuant to Sections 4-1.04 and 4--105 of
the Fresno Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Council may delegate said authority to the
Controller by formal resolution pursuant to Section 4�-108 of
the Fresno Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to delegate said authority
to the Controller. `
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Fresno, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. DELEGATION OF' AUTHORITY. Pursuant to
Section'4-108 of the Fresno Municipal Cade and in accordance
with Sections 4--104 and. 4-105 of the Fresno Municipal Coder
as from time to time amended, the Council hereby delegates to -
the Controller or his designated representative its authority
to purchase, exchange or sell specified securities
SECTION 2. RATIFICATION. The Councilhereby ratifies
any and all investments made by the Controller or his
designated representative prior to the adoption of this
Resolution.
E SECTION 3. REPEAL OF PRIOR RESOLUTIONS. Resolution

4 No. 5519 and all other resolutions which conflict with this

Resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE IMMEDIATELY. This Resolution
shall become effective and in full force and effect upon its
adoption.
