RESOLUTION NO. 79-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THiE CITY OF
FRESNO AUTHORIZING COUNCILMEN TO
ATTEND CONFERENCE ON GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS.
WHEREAS the University of California, Berkeley, is
sponsoring a cane --clay course entitled „Contracting Out
Government Services" on April 27, 1979 and
WHEREAS, said course shall be instructive relative to
contracting out various government services to the private
sector, including animal control, social welfare services
and equipment and building maintenance; and
WHERE.ASI`, attendance of Councilmen at said course will

be of benefit to them, in their .official capacities and to
the Council #and the City
of Fresno • and

WHEREAS,, Section 501 of the Charter of the City of Fresno
provides for reimbursement of Councilmen on order of the
Council for Council authorized traveling and other necessary
expenses when on official duty.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council, of the
City of Fresno, California, that, pursuant to Section 501
of the Charter of the 'City of Fresno,. any Councilman is
"., hereby authorized to attend the course entitled "Contracting
Out Government Services" sponsored by the University of
California, Berkeley, to be held. on April 27, 1979
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any Councilman attending
said course shall be reimbursed for his or her registration.
