RESOLUTION NO. 79— 139
A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
CITE' OF FRESNO
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 8
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fresno,
California that:
WHEREAS, said Council adapted on January 23, 1979 its
Resolution No, 79-29_ approving plans :and specifications and
calling for construction bids for the doing of the work and
improvement to be done in .Assessment District No. 80, as
particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 79--30 ,
adopted by said Council on January 23, 1979, and in the plans and
specifications therein referred to, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution No. 79- 29 a
Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for the -Construction of said
Improvements was duly published and pasted, as evidenced by the
affidavits of publication and posting on file in the office of the
City Clerk, and bids for the doing of the work specified therein
were duly and regularly received, opened, examined, and declared
in the Manner provided in said Resolution No. 79- 29, and were
duly reported to said Council, and
WHEREAS, said Council has heretofore adopted its
Resolution No. 79-- 138 Ordering the Work; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid for the doing of said 'work was
submitted by Cgz construction Company in
the amount of $85.292.8a and said bid was duly and regularly
submitted and accompanied tzly the required bidder's ; security in
proper form.
NOW,, THEREFORE, SAID COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS g DETERMINES,
ANT) ORDERS AS FOLLOWS

1. Gentz Construction Company
is the lowest responsible binder for the construction and
installation of the work and improvement to be constructed and
installed in Assessment District No. $D
2. The bid of said lowest responsible bidder is
accepted, and a contract for the doing of the work in accordance
with the plans and specifications described in said Resolution of
Intention is hereby awarded to said lowest responsible bidder, at
the prices named in the bid of said bidder, and all ether proposals
and bids are rejected.
3. The City Clerk is. directed to cause a notice of the
award of the contract, in accordance with the award as herein
made, to be published twice in the Fresno Bee in two
entire issues of said newspaper, one publication being on one day
and the other issue being on a subsequent day of the same or a
subsequent week. The City Clerk is further directed to cause a
notice of award. of the contract to be recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of Fresno County:

I, JACQUELINfE L. RYLE, City Clerk of the City of Fresno,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fresno at
a regular meeting held on the loth day of April , 1979, at
the City Hall in the City of Fresno, by the following vote.
