RESOLUTION O THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRESNO AU97HORIZING THE FILING AND
EXECUTION OF A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION FOR PROGRAM
YEARS 1979-8
WHEREAS, the Council. of the city of Fresno desires to
apply for and execute a Community Development Program in
accordance with the provisions of the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1977 and. relevant Rules and Regulations
governing its mplementat.ion; and
WHEREAS, fall information has been given to affected
citizens regarding the amount of funds available and the
range of eligible activities; and:
WHEREAS, citizens have been afforded ample opportunity
to participate in the development of the application and
provided appropriate technical assistance in the articulation
of their expressed needs and preferences; and,
WHEREAS, the City has fulfilled the requirements of
OMB Circular A-95-, and,
WHEREAS, the subject application has been developed
to give maximum attention to benefit low and moderate
income families through a comprehensive Community Development
Program including public improvements, dousing, economic
development and public service activities; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fresno is in
agreement and will comply with the conditions stated in
the Assurances (HUD Foram 7068 (6-78)) contained in the
Application,
NOW.. THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FRESNO that;
1. This application is hereby approved for submission
to the Department of Housing and Urban Development in.its

2 . The Chl,ef Administrative Officer of the City of Fresno
or his designated representative is authorized to assume
responsibility for the correct execution of the program described
in said application including the submission of all reports,
certifications, and other material as HUD may require,
3. The Controller or his designated representative is
authorized to do all thin4s required by the Housing and
Community Development Act.of 19777, in order to obtain payment
of monies from HUD, including, but not limited to, the selection
of a commercial bank to receive payment vouchers, the submission
of signature specimens, and the filing of requests for payment.
