RESOLUTION NO. 7 9_.. 7 1
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNC3,
RECOMMENDING DESIGNATION OF 1705, 1717, 1727, 1743,
AND 1749 "L" STREET TO THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF
HISTORIC PLACES
WHEREAS, 1705, 1717 1727, 1743, and 1749 "Ll' Street have been evaluated
by the Historic Preservation Commission as having architectural and historic
significance; and
WHEREAS, the proposed restoration of the structures will contribute to
the heritage and revitalization of the community; and
WHEREAS, designation to the National Register of Historic Places may promote
the restoration of the structures, and
WHEREAS, placement of the National Register affords a property the honor
of inclusion ,in the nation's off_ic,,al list of cultural resources worthy of
E preservation, provides a degree of protection from adverse consequences, and pro-
vides a number of, preservation. incentives
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVLED that the Council of the City of Fresno

recommends the aforementioned structures be designated to the National Register
f
of Historic Places,
