HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - City Council - 79-054 - 1979-02-06Public Works RESOLUTION NO. 1 -a RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PREVAILING WAGE 'SCALE FOR CITY OF FRESNO ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 67 RESOLVED, ' by the Council of the City of Fresno, California, that WHEREAS, the Council did, on the 4th day of 'April, 1978, adopt its resolution of intention to construct public improvements, as particularly described in said resolution, pursuant to Article 20 ` of Chapter 15 of the municipal Code of the City of Fresno; and WHEREAS, the Council has ascertained the general prevailing rates of per diem wages and wages for holiday and overtime work in, the Fresno area for each craft, classification, or type of workman neededin the performance of contracts for public works of the City, including public improvements € f the type proposed to be constructed pursuant to said resolution of intention, said prevailing rates being set forth in the prevailing wage resolution as from time to time adopted by Council; and WHEREAS, the Secretary of Labor of the United. States has ascertained the general prevailing rates of per diem wages and wages for holiday and overtime work in the Fresno area for each craft, classification, or 'type of workman needed in the performance of contracts for public works of the City, including public improvements of the type proposed to - be ; constructed, -` said prevailing rates being included as a part of the plans and specifications in the engineer's report as preliminarily approved and confirmed by the Council in Resolution. No. 79- 53 as heretofore adopted: and WHEREAS, said engineer"s report as preliminarily approved and confirmed provides for payment of the prevailing rates under that wage scale therein which prescribes the highest prevailing rate as to any craft, classification, or type of workman designated; and WHEREAS r a caper of said engineer's report is on file in the office a ce of the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, this Council ras duly considered, said prevailing wage scales and finds the same to be correct in all particulars. NQw r THEREFORE r IT IS HEREBY FOUND r DETEMINED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS 1. That said wage rates in the engineer's report as preliminarily approved and confirmed in Resolution No. 79- 5 is hereby established and adopted, as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for any work proposed to be performed under said resolution of intention. 2. That no less than said prevailing rate of per them wages shall be paid for any work proposed to be performed under said resolution of intention.
