HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - City Council - 79-033 - 1979-01-23City .114ttorney RESOLUTION NO. 79-33 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 87300. WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Political Reform Act of 1974, the City Council of the City of Fresno is the code reviewing body for conflict of interest codes required of city departments and city agencies other than the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Council is required under the provisions of Government Code Section 87300 to establish a deadline for the submission to the Council of conflict of interest codes by the respective departments and agencies for which the board is the code reviewing body; and WHEREAS, it appears that the 16th day of January, 1979, is an appropriate deadline for submission of said conflict of interest codes for Council officers. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED BY THE: COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO as follows: 1. That the l6th day of January, 1979, be and is hereby established as the deadline pursuant to Government Code Section 87300 for the submission to the Council of a City of Fresno of a Conflict of Interest Cade, together with a list of designated positions within the offices of the Chief Administrative Officer, the City Attorney, and the City Clerk which shah, be subject to the disqualification and disclosure requirements set forth in said Code. 2. That the attached Exhibit "A," incorporated herein as if fully set forth, lists the designated positions which shall be subject to the City of Fresno Conflict of Interest Code within the aforementioned offices and the categories of disclosure required for each position. 3. That the incumbents of such positions shall file the required financial statements no later than thirty (30) days subsequent to adoption of this resolution. EFFECTIVE 77 -1- h. That the Chief Administrative Officer is hereby directed to submit to the Council by no later than the first regularly scheduled meeting in July, 1979, a resolution establishing the remaining city positions which shall, be required to report pursuant to the City of Fresno Conflict of Interest Cade and the categories of disclosure required for each such position.
