Home My WebLink AboutResolution - City Council - 79-024 - 1979-01-23RESOLUTION NO. 2 'k A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR ANNEXATION PROECESSING. WHEREAS, the Fresno Local Agency Formation Commission, on the 29th day of November, 1978, at a duly noticed public hearinc'f considered and adopted a fee schedule for the processing of annexation applications; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fresno has considered the matter of charging fees prior to adoption of a Council resolution making application to the Local .Agency Formation Commission for approval of annexation of territory to the city; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that a property owner who requests annexation to.the City of Fresno should be responsible for payment of the filing fee required for processing such request; and WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the charging of fees may present a financial hardship to some property owners desiring annexation to the City of Fresno. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Fresno adopts the following fee schedule to be paid by each property owner requesting annexation on the basis of the size of his property to be annexed: Under ten acres $150.00 Ten to under one hundred acres $250.00 One hundred acres and. larger $350.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City of Fresno will be responsible for payment of any , filing fees or portion thereof which may be required as a result of the City's attempts to maximize the annexation. The Council at its discretion may authorize exemptions from this fee schedule on the basis of financial hardship or whenever the Council finds such exemption would be in the public interest. PASSED a p.T,l- v BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall become effective and in full force and effect at 12 : fll a.m. on the thirty-first day after its passage.
