FIRST AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (First
Amendment) is hereby made to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into
between the City of Fresno, a California municipal corporation, acting by and through its
governing body, the City Council (City) and the County of Fresno, a political subdivision
of the State of California acting by and through its governing body, the County Board of
Supervisors (County) effective September 19th, 2023.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, City and County entered into an MOU on March 9, 2021, for full time
victim advocate for the duration of the 2020 National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative grant
program (Project); and
WHEREAS, City and County now desire to extend the term of the MOU.
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, it is mutually agreed that
this First Amendment shall revise the MOU as follows:
1. Section 9 of the MOU, "Termination" shall be amended to read as follows..
"The term of this MOU is for four years, commencing October 1, 2020, and ending
September 30, 2024, subject to any earlier termination in accordance with this
MOU."
2. Except for the revisions herein, the MOU remains in full force and effect. In the
event of any conflict between the MOU and this First Amendment, this First
Amendment shall control.
