FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE VIOLENCE INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION
INITIATIVE GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FRESNO AND THE BOYS
& GIRLS CLUB OF FRESNO COUNTY REGARDING FUNDING FOR THE PHOENIX
PREVENTION PROGRAM, THE KEYSTONE CLUB, JUNIOR STAFF INTERSHIP
PROGRAM AND THE TRIPLE PLAY PROGRAM
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT (Amendment) is entered into
effect on December 12, 2023 , between the CITY OF FRESNO,
a California municipal corporation (City), and THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF FRESNO
COUNTY a California nonprofit organization (Agency).
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City and the Agency entered into an agreement on December 12, 2022
(Agreement), to provide THE PHOENIX PREVENTION PROGRAM, THE KEYSTONE
CLUB, JUNIOR STAFF INTERSHIP PROGRAM AND THE TRIPLE PLAY PROGRAM
(Project); and
WHEREAS, the Agreement is set to terminate on December 12, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the Project is not yet complete; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Agency desire to extend the Agreement through March
12, 2024 to complete the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Agency desire to continue program progress reporting
for the extended agreement period through March 12, 2024.
WHEREAS, with entry into this Amendment, the Agency agrees it has no claim,
demand, or dispute against the City and affirms that it will abide by all obligations contained
in the agreement entered into on December 12, 2022.
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree that the aforesaid Agreement be amended
as follows:
1. The recitals to this Amendment are incorporated and made a part of this
Amendment.
2. The Agreement is extended through March 12, 2024.
3. Except as otherwise provided herein, the Agreement, and all obligations
contained therein remain in full force and effect. In the event of any conflict
between the Agreement and this Amendment, this Amendment shall control.
4. The final invoice and all reporting is due no later than April 15, 2024.
