Joint Powers Agreement
Fresno/Clovis Community Media Authority
(A Joint Powers Authority)
This Amendment l- to the Fresno/Clovis Medía Authority Joint Powers Agreement which is dated
January ,2OI4, amends said agreement entered into by and between the public entities
(collectively, "Members") whose names are set forth in the original Joint powers Agreement entered
into in December of 2008 and is incorporated herein.
WITNESSETH:
The parties hereto do agree to amend the Joint Powers Agreements as follows per section 32 of said
agreement:
A. section 5 shall have item number (6) added stating the following:
"lf any board member has 2 absences in a calenda r year, the Chair shall submit a letter
to the respective Joint Powers Authority Member and the absent JPA Board Member
notifying of the lack of attendance and requesting a replacement board member or
recommitment of attendance.,,
B. section 5 shall have item number (7) added stating the following:
"Board Members are appointed to two (2) year terms. At the end of a term a Board
Member must either leave the board or be re-appointed by the respective Joint powers
Authority Member. The first term shall begin in July 2Ot4 with two (2) Fresno members
and one (1) Clovis member to be determined by a random selection process."
C. Section 1_2, subsection a. shall be amended to:
"At the regular meeting in March the Board held each calendar year, per section 10a, a
Board Member shall be elected annually to the position of Chair of the Board; a second
Board Member shall be elected to the position of Vice-Chair of the Board. The terms of
office of the Chair and Vice-Chair shall commence July 1 and expire on the succeeding
June 30."
THAT THE BOARD MEMBERS OF THIS AGREEMENT HAVE CAUSED AMENDMENT #1. TO BE EXECUTED ON
THEIR BEHALF ELY AS FOLLOWS:
