PURPOSE
Promote training and assist in measuring fire ground effectiveness of crews
performing a packing house loop evolution.
APPLICATION
The use of a packing house loop allows fire personnel to quickly deploy and operate
a large hose line for extended exterior operations with a minimal amount of
personnel.
OPERATIONAL POLICY
This section intentionally left blank.
OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE
All hose lines should be completely deployed from hosebeds prior to charging.
Hose lines should not have kinks which would reduce the effectiveness of water
delivery.
All nozzles should operate at appropriate pressures to achieve stated gpm.
PROCESS
Time begins when apparatus stops at fire scene and ends when water is flowing at
required pressure and supply line has been established.
