RESOLUTION NO. 2015- 112
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR
THE ANNUAL LEVY OF ASSESSMENT FOR
LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE
DISTRICT NO. 1
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1 ("LLMD No.1") was formed March 22, 1983, by Council Resolution No. 83-93
under the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (Streets and Highways Code Sections
22500-22679) (the Act); and
WHEREAS, LLMD No.1 provides certain landscaping services in the public
domain that specially benefit areas within the City of Fresno; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno (City) has subsequently levied annual
assessments; and
WHEREAS, as authorized by the Act, the Council intends to initiate proceedings
for levying the annual assessment for LLMD No. 1 for Fiscal Year 2015-2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL RESOLVES AND DETERMINES AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That proceedings for levy of the annual assessments for LLMD No. 1
under Chapter 3 of the Act are hereby initiated.
2. The City Engineer is directed, under Section 22622 of the Act, to prepare
a report in accordance with Article 4 (beginning with Section 22565) of Chapter 1 of the
Act and to file the report with the City Clerk.
3. The City Clerk is directed, upon receiving the report, to submit the report
