APPLICATION It is the intent of the Administration to provide an acceptable degree of privacy to all members. This procedure is to be used as a guide by all personnel. OPERATIONAL POLICY Members will be accorded socially acceptable privacy in both quarters and field environments and will respect the rights and privacy of others. Physical barriers for restroom and shower areas will be provided wherever possible. These barriers, when installed, create an area that provides a private space. Some restrooms have both common and private spaces. The use of “occupied” signs will be required when anyone is using a common restroom or shower area. At any time the designated area is in use, members are prohibited from tampering with the posted signs. Nudity shall be prohibited in all areas where both men and women are present. OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE In addition to “occupied” signs, restrooms or showers with a common area will have locks on doors that access the common space. For members to be afforded the greatest level of privacy within restrooms with common space, all access doors may be locked when in use. Appropriate attire is to be worn when the regular uniform is not required.
