SECTION 206.001c SPECIAL NOTICES
PURPOSE
To establish standard practices for the acknowledgement and review of Special
Notices.
APPLICATION
Special Notices are used by the Fresno Fire Department (FFD or Department) to notify
members of information critical to the mission of the Department.
OPERATIONAL POLICY

OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE
Immediately upon receipt of a Special Notice, the company officer should
acknowledge the receipt of the material.
The company officer should ensure that all members under their command are familiar
with the contents of the Special Notice.
PROCESS
• Access the Learning Management System (LMS) to retrieve the most current
information.
• Brief members on the new information at morning line up.
• Enter the daily briefing in the Day View, include items discussed in your entry
(Example: SN 007-2018, Revision to the Administrative Manual, Section
106.039, Shift Replacement/Overtime Form SR/OT (FD -22)).

• Enter the daily briefing in the LMS, Record Completions; include all pertinent
information.
