REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY RESOLUTION NO: 1430
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO AND THE
FRESNO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF FRESNO APPROVING
THE SUBMISSION OF REVISED URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANT
APPLICATION FOR THE BUTTERFIELD MICROBREWERY PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Fresno as follows:
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved and
awarded an Urban Development Action Grant (UDAG) to the City of Fresno on December 12, 1988
in the amount of $708,317 to be used for an urban development project in the City's downtown area;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno worked with HUD to comply with UDAG requirements, but
was unable to satisfy the requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fresno now desires to amend and revise its
UDAG application to propose that the Butterfield Microbrewery project be funded with the UDAG
funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency
of the City of Fresno:
(1) Approve the submittal of a revisd application to HUD to permit use of the Urban Development
Action Grant in the amount of $708,317 to fund the Butterfield Microbrewery Project;
(2) Direct staff to work with HUD to comply with HUD UDAG requirements;
(3) Authorize the City Manager and Ex -Officio Director of the Redevelopment Agency to execute
all appropriate documentation to implement the UDAG, if awarded.
The City Clerk and Ex -Officio Clerk of the Agency are authorized and directed to attest and
impress the official seals of the City and the Agency, respectively, on such documents, and the Ex -
Officio Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency and City Manager are authorized and
directed to execute all appropriate documentation for the UDAG, if awarded.
