A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE ROOSEVELT
COMMUNITY (PLAN AMENDMENT NO. A-93-11)
WHEREAS, on April 7, 1992, by Resolution No . 92-141, the
Council adopted the Roosevelt Community Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Development Department has received an
application from the City of Fresno to amend the circulation
element of the aforementioned plan to (1) delete the collector
street designation for Butler Avenue between Armstrong and
Temperance Avenues, and (2) add the collector street designation
for Hamilton Avenue as a collector between Fowler and Temperance
Avenues; and
WHEREAS, the environmental assessment conducted for the
proposed plan amendment resulted in the filing of a Negative
Declaration; and
WHEREAS, on July 7, 1993 , the Planning Commission held a
public hearing to consider Plan Amendment No . A-93-11 and
recommended adoption of the proposed Negative Declaration and plan
amendment; and
WHEREAS, on July 20, 1993 , the Council held a public hearing
to consider Plan Amendment No . A-93-11 and determined, based upon
the testimony and information presented at the hearing and upon
review and consideration of the environmental documentation
provided, that the adoption of the proposed amendment is in the
best interest of the City of Fresno .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Fresno as follows :
1 . The Council finds that there is no substantial evidence

significant effect on the environment and hereby adopts
the Negative Declaration prepared for this project .
2 . The Council of the City of Fresno hereby adopts Plan
Amendment No. A-93-11, amending the Roosevelt Community
Plan as depicted on Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
