RESOLUTION NO. 93-30
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, DESIGNATING THE MOORE-KOOP RESIDENCE,
LOCATED AT 258 NORTH COLLEGE AVENUE, TO THE
LOCAL OFFICIAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC
RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed to designate the
Moore-Koop Residence to the Local Official Register of Historic
Resources; and
WHEREAS, the structure, located at 258 North College Avenue
was built circa 1895; and
WHEREAS, the structure is particularly representative of a
distinct historical period, style, and way of life; and
WHEREAS, the structure is basically unchanged from its
original construction; and
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1992, the Historic Preservation
Commission held a public hearing on the proposed designation
wherein testimony, staff recommendations and other evidence was
considered; and
WHEREAS, based upon the presentation of facts relating to
the criteria for official designation, as set forth in Fresno
Municipal Code, Article 4, Section 13-407, the structure has been
evaluated and determined to have historic significance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Fresno hereby designates the Moore-Koop Residence, located at
258 North College Avenue, to the Local Official Register of
Historic Resources.
