(FFD or Department) members on the proper use and maintenance of the Milwaukee

The Milwaukee M12 cordless rotary tool is intended for use in light rescue emergency
situations involving grinding, sanding, or cutting. The rotary tool is an extremely
versatile piece of equipment for a wide range of tasks. When using the appropriate
blades, the operator can selectively dismantle equipment where appendages have
been intertwined to ring removal on fingers.
OPERATIONAL POLICY
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury while operating the rotary tool, all
Department members and patients shall wear the appropriate personal protective
equipment (PPE) to include eye protection, dusk mask, and gloves as the minimum.
OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE
When used on metal surfaces, the rotary tool should not be operated in the presence
of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
The spindle lock button should not be pressed while the tool is running, or the
accessory is moving. This could damage the tool.
The trigger should be locked or the battery removed when the tool is not in use.
