APPLICATION Individual performance evolutions (IPEs) are used to document skill level performance. OPERATIONAL POLICY This section intentionally left blank. OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE Active members should perform IPEs without any failures in task steps. PROCESS Equipment Needed: One firefighter in full personal protective equipment, one SCBA, one truck with a full complement of hose and equipment, and a clear area to set up lighting equipment. Task: Provide adequate lighting to the specified area using the equipment supplied on the truck. Performance Outcome: The candidate, while operating on a simulated fire ground, is to be able to provide adequate lighting to the specified area. Candidate Directive: “Deploy the needed equipment from the truck to provide lighting the designated area.
