APPLICATION Individual performance evolutions (IPEs) are used to document skill level performance. OPERATIONAL POLICY This section intentionally left blank. OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE This section intentionally left blank. PROCESS Instructions to the Operator: The operator should be able to supply attack line(s) while establishing a supply successfully, safely, and methodically from an adjacent apparatus. Equipment and Personnel Requirements: • Operator wearing helmet and gloves. • (2) Fresno Fire Department pumping apparatus. • (1) hose line. • (1) Firefighter wearing helmet and gloves. Fresno City Fire Department Effective Date: October 2017 Robert J Garcia, Engineer Current Revision Date: 7/19/2022 Section 313.008a Next Revision (1) Date: 7/19/2024 Page 2 of 4 Instructions to the Evaluator: The evaluator should stop any evolution when unsafe acts or conditions occur. Evolution: A recommendation for improvement is indicated by a checkmark in a box with standard text (non-bold font). Prepare attack pumper to pump water. (Refer to Section 313.005). 2. Supply hose lines as needed. (Refer to Section 313.006). 3. Assess water supply / update command as needed. 4. Properly deploy a 50’ roll of 2-1/2” in preparation. 5. Ensure appropriate spot location of supply pumper / tender. 6. Ensure appropriate emergency lighting is being used. 7. Properly connect supply hose to supply pumper - no kinks. 8. Prepare supply pumper to pump (refer to Section 313.005), or Water tender (Refer to Section 310.010). 9. Generate approximately 50 psi with supply pumper. 10. Open supply pumper’s discharge slowly. 11. Open the auxiliary intake valve on the attack pumper slowly. 12. Fill tank ASAP while maintaining discharge pressures. 13. Never allow discharge pressures to fall below or exceed target PDP by more than 30 psi. 14. Assess water level of supply pumper / update Command as needed 15. Prevent pump water overheating in supply pumper as needed. At a minimum, observe the following: 16. Water Tank Level. 17. Engine Temperature. 18. Oil Pressure. 19. Note abnormal noises or concerns. 20. Other: Operator performed safely, confidently, and efficiently.
