OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE
1. Safety:
Always wear proper safety gear when operating the tool and in
the work area.
PROCESS
1. Inserting and Removing Spline/SDS Drive Bits:
a. Unlock the tool holder by pulling the retaining sleeve back and
holding it in. (See Figure 2.)
b. Insert the bit shank into the tool holder as far as it will go.
c. Release the retaining sleeve.
d. Pull on the bit to ensure it is properly locked.
e. To remove a bit, unlock the retaining sleeve as described
above.
f. The drill also has an adapter that adapts to smaller SDS bits.
First insert the adapter, and then insert the SDS bit. (See figure
3.)

2. Adjust the Depth Rod:
a. Insert a bit as described above.
b. Place drill bit onto a surface. Adjust the rod to desired depth of
hole by loosening the clamp nut. Using the depth guide will
allow you to drill a hole the depth of the distance between the bit
and the depth rod tip.
c. Tighten the clamp nut.
3. Soft Start Feature:
a. Adjust dial to desired setting and turn the dial up to increase
speed. (See Figure 4.)

b. Used for reducing the torque reaction transmitted to the gearing
and to the operator if the hammer is started in an existing hole.
4. Torque Limiting Clutch:
The torque limiting clutch reduces the maximum torque reaction
transmitted to the operator in case of a jamming bit. This is factory set
and cannot be adjusted.
5. Mode Selector:
a. To select the required mode, rotate the level by pushing the
button on the end of the selector lever over the safety lock until
it covers the correct symbol. (See Figure 5.)
i. Hammer Drilling Mode.
ii. Hammering Mode Only.
6. Operating:
a. Plug hammer into power source.
b. Insert correct bit into tool.
c. Set the speed and soft start control to desired level.
d. Place the drill bit on the spot to be drilled/chiseled and pull the
trigger.
