PURPOSE
Provide members with guidelines for safe operation of the H-85 Demolition Hammer.
APPLICATION
This policy applies to all members while operating the H-28 Demolition Hammer either
for maintenance, training, or during emergency operations.

Mounting an Accessory:
1.With the retainer directed
backward, insert the accessory
shank portion into the hole on
the front cover.
2.Swing the retainer back into
place so it engages the
accessory shank portion.

1.Plug the demolition hammer into
the proper power source.
2.Pull the trigger switch after
applying the tip to the target.
3.Operate the demolition hammer
by utilizing its own weight. The
performance will not improve
when pressed down with force.
Hold the demolition hammer
with just enough force to
counteract this reaction.
*When the tool has not been used for
an extended period of time, it may not
work because the oil has become too
thick.

Maintenance and Inspection:
1. Use of a dull accessory can
cause malfunctioning and
efficiency degradation.
2. Inspect the mounting screws and
ensure they are properly
tightened.

Oil Feeder:
1. Feed oil without fail before no oil
is visible in the oil gauge window
when the demolition hammer is
held upright.
3. Check the oil once a day during
use.
4. Feed oil when the oil level drops
to approximately 7/64 inch.
