Johnson, Senior Administrative Clerk Section 107.002 Page 1 of 2 PURPOSE To assist a supervisor in the proper grievance procedure. APPLICATION A grievance is a dispute concerning the interpretation or application of any existing City rule or regulation governing personnel practices or working conditions, including the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). A grievance involves the claimed misapplication or misinterpretation of a rule or regulation relating to an existing right or duty; it does not relate to the establishment or abolishment of a right or duty. This procedure will not apply to any dispute for which there is another established resolution procedure, including but not limited to, appeal to the Civil Service Board, Retirement Board, unfair employer-employee relations charge fact-finding procedure, or as outlined in the current MOU.
